Senior Adviser, Beauty / Glamour / Positive-Aging
Catherine Roberts became one of the most photographed “Beauty” models during the late 70’s and early 80’s. She is still considered one of the most beautiful “Classic” models working today, both in print and television commercials.
Catherine’s career began when the legendary model Wilhelmina Cooper signed her to an exclusive contract at Wilhelmina Models. She garnered the first of her forty plus television commercials within her first two weeks at the Wilhelmina agency.
Later, after moving to the Zoli Agency she became one of the most sought after beauty models of the day. Her long running campaigns for L’Oreal and Charles of the Ritz, as well as Max Factor, Revlon, Coty, Clairol, Helena Rubenstein, Saks Fifth Avenue, Almay, Elizabeth Arden and Avon (among others) appeared in major publications including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Catherine’s portfolio of advertising campaigns includes far more than beauty, with products as diverse as Christian Dior sunglasses, Maximilian furs, Bulova and Speidel watches, Playtex bras, automobiles, countless jewelry ads, alcoholic beverages and even Stouffer’s frozen dinners.
Included in the long list of talented photographers with whom she has worked are the legendary Richard Avedon, Hiro, Bert Stern, Bill King, Chris Von Wangenheim, James Moore, Neal Barr and Bob Richardson.
In addition to modeling, her most recent assignments have been a highly successful television commercial for Cialis, plus a television appearance on Two and A Half Men. She has a non-speaking but visually prominent role in The Coen Brothers soon-to-be released movie, Hail, Caesar!
Catherine Roberts is as relevant with advertisers today, as she was in the beginning of her career, and she is enjoying her work more than ever.
