The winter season is the perfect time to begin some skin rejuvenation treatments at home. The days are much shorter and cooler, giving us more time for some skin TLC.
One of the more popular skin rejuvenation treatments is Microneedling. Microneedling is a professional treatment that improves the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars, loss of firmness, brown spots and stretch marks by stimulating the skin’s natural ability to repair itself. While a home treatment using a derma roller doesn’t have the full benefit of a professional treatment, there is a lot that can be achieved at home using a good derma roller and the NeoGenesis products. Your skin will appear brighter, smoother, and tighter with home derma rolling treatments.
If you are new to derma rolling, consider beginning with a very short needle, .25 mm. This is the perfect length to experience derma rolling and it will benefit the skin. Once you have experience and understand derma rolling, consider moving up to the .5 mm needle length. With each of these, it is unlikely that you would need numbing cream. I don’t recommend going above .5 mm for the face. Save the longer needles for the body in areas that may benefit from some derma rolling. Slow and steady wins the race with home derma rolling.
NeoGenesis and Microneedling are a perfect match. Home derma rolling may be done more often than the professional microneedle treatment so the proper home skin care routine is vitally important. Home care can be simple!
There are three necessary steps:
1) Cleansing the skin
2) Using the appropriate serum
3) Moisturize the skin
One of our favorite protocols is both very simple and very effective. After cleansing with the NeoGenesis Cleanser, apply Recovery all over the face and neck, around the eyes and lips. Follow with Barrier Renewal Cream. Do this twice daily for healthy radiant skin.
Below is a protocol for an incredible home derma rolling facial. Be gentle with your skin. The goal is healthy, radiant skin for life!
Derma Roller Rejuvenation Facial
Step 1: Begin with a thorough cleanse of the skin with the Cleanser.
Step 2: Spray a light mist of the Moisturizing Mist onto the skin to maintain hydration.
Step 3: Apply 1 to 2 pumps of the Skin Serum to the face and neck.
Step 4: Apply a pea size amount of Eye Serum around both eyes, using the ring fingers.
Step 5: Apply approximately a quarter size of Enzyme Crème Mask to the face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Leave on 3 to 5 minutes, then removed with a warm, wet towel.
Step 6: Apply approximately 4 to 5 drops of Recovery serum to the face and neck, including the eye area.
Step 7: Perform the Derma Roller Treatment.
Step 8: Apply approximately 4 to 5 drops of Recovery to the face and neck, including the eye area, following the Derma Roller.
Step 9: Apply 3 to 4 drops of Booster or Skin Serum to the face and neck, including the eye area.
Step 10: Apply 2 to 3 pumps of Barrier Renewal Cream to the face and neck.
Enjoy your beautiful skin!
