OILY SKIN

Establishing a skin care routine is critical to balancing oily skin. It must be treated gently, not using harsh products or overly active products which will make the problem worse. OILY SKIN

Oily skin is difficult to control because it’s the result of genetically determined hormonal changes. Healthy oil production is beneficial for your skin but it becomes a problem when too much oil is produced and leads to larger pores and a thickening of the pore lining that can result in comedones, also known as blackheads, as well as breakouts

NeoGenesis Cleanser is suitable to use on oily skin types,. Use our Cleanser twice daily to remove impurities from the skin and consider cleansing twice in the evening to remove stubborn sunscreen and makeup. This will ensure that the products you apply following cleansing will penetrate your skin effectively.

After Cleanser, Booster serum will naturally restore balance within the skin.

On opposite evenings, apply Mandelic Acid 8% or Salicylic Acid Gel building up slowly to find your skin’s sweet spot. We recommend exfoliating no more than four times per week to maintain a healthy skin barrier and prevent excess oil production that can result when over-exfoliating.

People who have oily skin often steer clear of moisturizers, worrying that they will make their skin worse. Oily skin doesn’t need more oil, but it does need hydration. Hydrated skin is a must for healthy skin. Keeping it hydrated will not trigger more oil production. Instead, it will reduce oil production and promote a healthy skin barrier. A light application of our Light Moisturizer or Barrier Renewal Cream may be used as needed after Booster for any dry areas.
